2011 was a great year but extremely jam packed for myself with some big changes in my life which meant towards the end of 2011 I didn’t get in as much kiting as I would like to have done. I moved in July to Poole in Dorset so the new house took up alot of my time but now mean I live right on the beach! I have been down to Baiter Park several times which is a great little grass spot right on the harbour front with nice smooth winds. I have also had plenty of kitesurfing sessions as well as teaching the girlfriend to kitesurf who is now up and riding and doing great! My Parents have also just moved to India so hopefully in the coming months I will get the chance to find some new spots to kite!
As these have taken up alot of my time I have not managed to get as much kiting in and updating my website as much as I would have liked but that is all chnage now! 2012 is here and I have already got alot planned. Depending on Fitness & Back strength I may do the UK tour but have not decided if I will continue to freeride and get more involved with expanding the sport. If the European Championship is held then I will defiantly roadtrip it and compete again.
NABX planning is well underway and its looking even bigger & better than last year, plans this year are to get some mega quick runs done again and see if we can get even quicker acceleration than last year! (0-50mph 5.5 Seconds, Max 62.8mph)
On New Years Eve the BBC featured the kite clips from the filming in June which was the closing clips + others in the piece, check out the still above or watch the complete clip below!
