With the release of the the new Ion from Flexifoil Charlie asked me if i would go down to the first round of the BKSA and demo the new Ion with him. We travelled down on the Friday so that we could pop in and see a few shops on route. We went and saw the guys at Bristol kite store to show them the ion and to discuss the new products, later we drover down to UFO at Weston-Super-Mare where we went down the beach and i did a freestyle buggy demonstration.
Friday night we travelled down to Watergate bay to meet up with all the surfers. That night we all went to the Local Pub and had a few drinks, well lots! Next morning i was worse for wear to say the least!
On the Saturday the wind was howling which meant all riders were on the smaller kites, this allowed us to show off the Ion to its full potential. I went out riding on the ion for over an hour at one point and was having a great time. Not long after i had come a squall came over with Heavy hail and gusts over 50mph! Kites were flying down the beach luckily nobody was injured and no kit was lost.
Saturday night was the main party and what a party, all the riders enjoying themselves and the party lasting into the early hours of the morning.
Sunday morning was light wind and the tide hanging around. As the forecast was looking poor and we had a very long trip back we decided to make a move and travel back home.
