This event was organised by the local council as a way for the public to see lots of Extreme sports. For the kiting side SEKA had been asked to organize and look after the kite side of the event. Riders were asked if they would come down and do demonstrations throughout the day for the public to see.
Saturday was lightish wind with all the riders waiting for the wind to pick up. Thunderstorms were also in the vicinity so for safety reasons no kiting could take place. After the thunder storms had cleared at points the wind picked so we were able to go have a ride.
Saturday night was the BBQ! It took place at the campsite so it meant we didn't have to drive back after it so this went down very well with the riders! The night was very chilled out with a nice atmosphere and lots of socialising with people.
Sunday morning was stronger wind which everyone was happy about! A few of us headed down early to get a session in before it got too busy. When we arrived not many people were there so we set up and had a quick fly. Throughout the day taster sessions took place for the public to have a go at what power kiting is all about!
As the wind was stronger it meant we could go out and do some proper riding for the public. During the afternoon the wind slowly started to disappear so we made the decision to leave late afternoon to miss the heavy traffic!
