Finally people are starting to realise what we want out of a freestyle competition. We don’t want to spend hours standing around but out there riding, this format of this event was to have heats of 4 riders but the comp was judged by other riders. Making it very fair for all.
Saturday the wind wasn’t great & spent most of the day landboarding as no comps we held and fancied something different for once. It was nice to board again, and being kinder to my back was a bonus. In the evening we headed to a local pub where we all had a nice meal before heading back to the party & the event.
Sunday morning was nuts, the wind was nuclear & the field soaked with damp moisture. It was touch & go as if the event would be held, but after some time it went ahead. As of the conditions I was not going to put my back in area of danger so I backed out. There was no point taking a risk for the sake of it.
A good event and at lasts something that we all wanted to get behind.
