Just Add Wind - 08.05.07
On the Friday we left nice and really and made the trip up to Scotland but first we went and visited some of the shops on route. On route we Stopped at Nigel @ Northen freestyle! What a set up, home right on a lovely beach with some great dunes!
As we made our way upto one of Charlies mate, Stu From Ex-Windthings we stopped at some lovely spots with great potential but no wind to try them out. On arrival to his home we went for a quick sess on a great location with some hills and mounds. Not the windest session but fun.
Saturday morning we traveled north to the event to again be greated with no wind! Having a tarmac runway and an 8.5 Blade meant airs were just about possible but not great. As the day went on the wind picked slightly so ally put the kicker out, it had to be done so on my 2nd attempt i was very close, landed on it slid abit but was then stuck and i mean stuck!
We then noticed a crack, dont think it was me but didn't want to damage it any further so stopped. The day ended with a great little session on the 8.5 boosting some nice airs, and doing some shots for the Scottish press.
Later that evening we made the marathon trip back in just under 6 hours!
Who ever said Scotland was windy was wrong!
