New Tricks + Evening Kitesurf - 28.04.07
Well with a Morning low tide it meant that if I wanted to get a session in then it was going to be a get up and go one. Waking up at about 7.30 loaded car up and headed to beach to arrive for just gone 9.00.
The wind was blowing a nice 15-20mph cross on from the right. Put the 8.5 up to have a nice relaxed chilled out session. Beach was in ok condition, not the best but not the worst. Playing about and trying out variations in rotations decided to go for a 360 heel Clicker, first attempt was not quite dialled but on second attempt, fully landed. This led me to think, is an aerial 360 fork spin possible, it just had to be tried. After a few attempts the trick was dialled. Within a few minutes I had perfected 2 new tricks to me, and one completely new trick for buggying.
As the wind started to increase during day the 8.5 was boasting huge float airs with some lovely slow motion 360's, 540's and 720's which felt so smooth and relaxed. It was the session i needed to get back into the swing of things. After a good 4 hour session headed back into city to grab some wheel bolts that I had run out of.
While in City decded to go for an eveing kitesurf, at the beach the wind was not as strong but still rideable so set up and went out for a session. The bays were nice and wavey in centrw but flat at edges so messing about and having a real chilled session was deffienmtly the key. Lobbed a few downloops on the 15m which felt nice so coming off the water to a sunset was very nice indeed!
