This year was my 3rd time to the Festival in Northern Belgium and once again the forecast was not great.
The Friday i had to drive down to London, collect van then on way back had to pick up Johara's friend Sheryl. Once Lewis had finished work we made the the journey down to the Eurotunnel and hit the M25 at Dartford at peak rush hour period on a Friday so we got caught up in Traffic. We managed to get an earlier crossing so ended up in France local time around 9.30pm. While waiting for lisa to come off ferry at the ferry terminal an immigrant made an attempt to get into van, so drove off harshly! Never seen someone run so quick. Once lisa arrived we drove up to Belgium. I made one wrong turn and we ended up in Holland, luckily it was only 1mile from event so wasn't to bad!!

Saturday morning we woke to no wind so helped set up and chilled on the beach. This year everyone was over, Johara, Myself, Lewis, Richard Boudia, Andy Preston, and wave legend Peter Trow from the USA.

During the day the wind started to pick up so myself & lewis managed to put on a little demo and show power kiting. I went out on 8.5 Blade and managed a few jumps but nothing huge in the light winds! After a session we chilled on the beach before heading to Pizza Hut for food!

That evening we chilled in one of the local bars till the early hours of the morning. When we got back to the Camper there was no space so we had to unload van and put it all in front and sleep in it at like 2amish!! haha!!
Sunday the wind didn't come through so day was spent chilling on beach with a cold cider. Kids were playing with little one line kites so was nice to see them enjoying the sun & the little wind!
We left mid afternoon and made our way back to the Eurotunnel to find delays due to a broken down train! After a slight delay we made it back to the UK and after a couple hour drive we walked in door at midnightish!
A good weekend away, great to see old friends again and meet some new ones! Just a shame wind didn't come through!
Massive thanks to Peter Vanden Busche for looking after us while we were in Belgium! True Legend!
