Well after a mammoth 36 hours of travelling we finally made it to the Flexifoil Chalet  in the mountains near Col Du Lautaret, France. Not knowing whether are flight was going to be cancelled or roads shut due to snow we set off at 10am down to Gatwick & checked in to a hotel rather than drive overnight! We left the hotel at 2am and dropped the car off and made our way to the airport.

Arriving at gatwick at 3am we arrived to choas, people sleeping all over the floor due to the cancelations swell as news of evan more cancelations! Luckily not ours! We checked in and made our way onto the flight taking off at 6.30. With around 10 minuted before landing we were informed that we would be heading to Lyon rather than Grenoble due to the airport being shut due to heavy snow! At the airport we were transferred by bus to Greonble arriving around 12. After a short wait Jo arrived with the Van and we loaded up and made our to the chalet!

Not that long into the drive we were informed that the pass over the mountains was also closed due to bad weather and we would have to take a long diversion. Due to the conditions and the fact we had to fit the van with snow-chains we were down to speed of 30mph max over the snowy & icy roads!

One thing was the crazy ass bus drivers over here! We were doing 40mph on icy & snowy roads and a public service coach overtook! Nutters!

After a couple of short stops including a much needed McDonalds we finally pulled into the chalet drive at 10pm!
