Snow Kite Masters Part 4 - 19.01.10

Saturday 16th January

Today was the final day of competing, I had been knocked out yesterday in round 2 but there was still around 8 heats to go before the competition was completed. As Andreas was still in the competition we didn't have a heavy night friday evan though it was prize giving!

We headed down to the spot around normal time but there wasn't a huge amount of wind so there was no made rush to set up! We chilled out for a bit watching some of the competition area waiting for wind. At lunchtime everyone headed back down to the event village to see if the wind was going to pick and grab some much needed food.

Flexifoil Team At Event

After the lunch the wind came through so we were able to get some freeriding in! As they managed to complete the competition this meant we could use the entire space now including the kicker! Stoked!

This was going to be the last session so we wasted no time and rode till dusk, being one of the last people away from the event site!

As the competition was completed this gave me a final result of Joint 9th.

In the evening we went into town to get "on it" after prize giving, we had a few drinks in town but the nightlife was a tad disappointing so we didn't stay out that late.

Sunday 17th January

Time to pack up and head home, we all had to pack all our bags and clean the chalet of all the mess before loading the van up and making our way to the Airport! Andreas managed to get the hire car stuck so we had to help him remove it from the snow before he could get to the airport.

Lunch!!

Once the van was all loaded Johara drove me & lewis to the airport. On route she was desperate for a McDonalds so we stopped and got one close to the airport before checking in and heading home.

Editing on Plane!

We had quite a short flight and with driving when we got back I choose to start to editing my movie than sleeping so that i was ok for the drive home! After a short flight, a small wait for luggage we were soon on our way home walking in the door close to 10.30pm!

A Massive thanks to Flexifoil for Organising the trip, Dakine for Providing me with all my Accessories, Bern for the helmet which was well used! & Edge Power Kites for the support & use of the GoPro Camera!
